This record-breaking drive, accomplished by the Lucid Air Grand Touring, not only outperformed its own predecessor—which set a 1,045-kilometer record in June 2025—but also reaffirmed Lucid’s status as a global leader in electric vehicle innovation.
Powered by Lucid’s proprietary electric powertrain, the Lucid Air Grand Touring boasts a WLTP-tested range of up to 960 kilometers, with an ultra-efficient energy consumption of just 13.5 kWh/100 km. It delivers 831 PS, reaches a top speed of 270 km/h, and can recharge 400 kilometers of range in just 16 minutes via ultra-fast charging.
“This range record represents a significant milestone—it’s yet another clear demonstration of the technological edge that defines Lucid,” said Eric Bach, Senior Vice President of Product and Chief Engineer at Lucid. “Our Lucid products combine world-class vehicle efficiency with the most advanced drive units, ultra-high voltage architecture, and battery management technology available today.”
This achievement also marks a second collaboration between Lucid and Umit Sabanci, a London-based entrepreneur and endurance driver. Sabanci previously set a record in 2024 for the most countries visited on a single charge in a production EV—crossing nine nations in a Lucid Air Grand Touring. His latest feat further cements his and Lucid’s place in the EV endurance history books.
“When I completed the nine-country journey in 2024, it was just the beginning,” Sabanci shared. “This new achievement takes that journey even further. I’m proud to be part of a movement that proves electric mobility isn’t just the future—it’s already redefining what’s possible today.”
Lucid’s new world record doesn’t just celebrate distance—it symbolizes how far EV innovation has come. With longer ranges, ultra-fast charging, and efficient design, EVs are breaking through the limits of public perception and performance.
